Title of the seminar :
The origins, evolution and continuity of Kazakh statehood.
1. The 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate
2. Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev about the basics of Kazakh statehood, and the relationship between the periods.
3. The loss of independence. The historical role of the national liberation movements of XVIII-XIX centuries.
Purpose of the seminar:
Analysis of oration NA Nazarbayev in honor of the 550 anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, to assess the political activity of the Kazakh khans, reveal the historical significance of the struggle of the Kazakh people for national independence.
Methodical recommendations:
Analyze oral sources and research works on the history of the Kazakh Khanate. For the internal and external policies and activities of the Kazakh khans to prepare a table. Make analysis of the historical significance of uprisings led by S.Datuly, I.Taymanuly and M.Otemisuly, K.Kasymuly etc. Students should be divided into several groups and prepare a presentations on a chosen uprising.

2. Rise of 1916 and the 100th anniversary of the event.
3. History of Alash movement. Celebrating of 150 years of Alikhan Bukeikhanov within UNESCO.
Purpose of the seminar:
Expand the historic significance of the struggle for independence in the early twentieth century and the Alash movement.
Methodical recommendations:
Formation of the Kazakh intelligentsia: to prepare a table and answer orally.
On the question of the uprising in 1916 and the 100th anniversary of the event students should analyze the documents. Pockets of rebellion should be point to the map.
