Dear Ukrainian people! Dear Ukrainian citizens! I congratulate you on Liberty Day.

Two years ago, Ukrainian people overcame a fear, фіе humiliation and doom. Your deed(achievement) is, first of all, a revival рі'вайвл of self-respect. A personal deed that brought Ukraine into line with other nations that gave the world an example of freedom.

I say, appreciating every word: I knew the risks and where I was taking you. I saw in your eyes the power that became my strength. We are celebrating a day in which not only the Independence square is present, but hundreds of squares across our country and throughout our history. This day is dedicated to all Ukrainian citizens, regardless of views(opinion, beliefs) It unites us as a single nation.

Today I address to each of you in the West, East, North and South of the country. I know you are in pain and I am not afraid to say this. Many of you are disappointed. Disappointment leads to apathy, disbelief, and causes anger. You're worried 'вёрид that politicians waste the victory of the people. And you want a renewal (ринюэл) of faith.

Therefore, I speak to you di'rectly and openly. What has happened in the last two years?

I became the President by your common will. Before I became the President, I initiated и'нишиэйтид a dialogue with the main political forces in order to achieve unity in the vision of reforms, including political ones. I did it consciously. Because I did not want to allow э'лау the possibility of bloodshed. 'бладшед

I thought and continue to think so there are two things needed in our country such as an effective democratic government and precautions при'кошнс to prevent authoritarianism. Осори'тэриэнизм

We become free. We need to realise this fact. The will is like air ээ, one feels it when it doesn't exist. The real freedoms were established in the country. Freedom of speech, meetings, choice, competition, entrepreneurial онтепрэ'нёриэл activity.

In two years, the governments of Yulia Tymoshenko and Yuriy Yekhanurov have distroyed obstacles that prevented the country from living. The business brought from the shadow. The government conducted a partnership dialogue with the business. The economy began to breathe freely. We have gained the market status. The income of people began to increase by 20% annually. People received a considerable social support. The stable growth of birth rate began for the first time in the years of independence.

We have come out of international isolation. The foreign investments have come to Ukraine. We have agreed on liberalization of the visa визэ regime рейжім with the European Union to facilitate contacts between young people, business and journalists.

We become interesting. And for ourselves and for the world.

But the most important thing is that we have had a truly democratic election in the first time. This has never been before. The nation gives and takes a power. The authority began to change. You know this because you are free to criticize it.

The authority must change.

Democracy gives a chance чанс everybody . The politicians must negotiate. If nobody do this, the others will do. And if the opposition that gained power does not avoid the mistakes, it will inevitably become the opposition again.

Only democratic rules are immutable and inviolable. I have not retreated or will not retreat from them. And I will make it so that no further power will retreat from them.

I have an agenda эджендэ and a vision of what Ukraine needs.

My principles are justice and law. II am initiating the continuation of constitutional reform to bring order to the state. It will put an end to the conflict of powers and make your democratic choice irreversible. We need a Constitution for the liberties that are actually being implemented. And if the constitutional dialogue of politicians reach a deadlock дэдлок, I will allow элау people to say . Whatever it is, I will complete the judicial and law enforcement reform. This is the key to your personal safety and security.

We are learning to enjoy civil rights and political freedoms, but we have serious problems with respect for the social and individual rights of citizens. I know this very well. I know what each of you deal with. The price increase. Risk of economic stagnation and recession. Housing problems. Problems of education. Corruption - at all levels of government.

I will use all political will such as the constitutional powers, the National Security and Defense Council, and open dialogue with Parliament and the Governmen to preserve the economic growth of the country and ensure you with a fair living conditions.

I will continue the public dialogue of politicians on the key problems of the country, the most important of which is the promoting of national dignity. To put an end to the past. I am fed up with the turmoil 'тёмоил of politicians around artificial issues. We need to start living modern and future.

And the main criterion край'тиэриэн for power is your assessment, your needs.

I rely on the support of the new political team. The team of professionals who are not loosing in ambition and self-interest.

I will welcome the unification of the country's national democratic forces. And if it become a reality, I will support a new political force that preserve and develop our traditions.

I consider the leaders of both orange governments and everybody who has worked for the country and people as political and opinion allies.

I am ready to cooperate with the executive branch of power. And without diplomacy, I say to Yanukovych Viktor Fedorovych - give up politicians who want revenge and con'flict.

I remind both those in power and those in opposition that the master and the power in our country are the people. Not money. Not technologies or manipulations.

In 2004, the people made it clear that ready to defend their freedom and dignity. The freedom united Ukraine and it is for everyone.

The current government got the country in conditions of democratic freedom and economic growth. These conditions need to be developed. People will benefit from this. The country will benefit from this. I emphasize - the people and the President will not allow neither the return of the past, nor the return of bandit 'банлит concepts and black schemes.

New government must calm down and start working for the people.

A poor cannot be free, and therefore the authorities must fight poverty. Overcoming poverty strategy and social security must be maintained. The small and medium-sized business should be allowed to exist in peace. The authorities must see the priority to help those who need support. But the main emphasis is to help the most productive people, those who want and can work .

We must move on. That's what I want to tell you on Liberty Day. I value every success and know every mistake. I am here. I foresee your well-being. I will not leave our path. I want you to be free.
