John gets up at 11.00 and has a bath. He doesn’t have breakfast, because he has lunch at 12.00. He leaves home at 5.30 p.m. and goes to work by bus. He starts work at 6.00 p.m.

Task. Go on translating the text into Russian.

Sophia finishes work at 3.45 p.m. and walks home. Sophia and John have a very early dinner – at 5.00. They cook and they chat until John leaves for work. Sophia relaxes at home until about 7.30 p.m. Then she goes to John’s bar for an hour. She goes home at 9.00 p.m., watches TV and then goes to bed.

Family law is an area of the law that deals with family-related issues and domestic relations including:

– the nature of marriage and domestic partnerships;

– issues arising throughout marriage, including spousal abuse, legitimacy, adoption, child abuse, and child abduction;

– the termination of the relationship and ancillary matters including divorce, annulment, property settlements, alimony, and parental responsibility orders.

Marriage

The law in most countries places more emphasis upon marriages legally registered than social arrangements whereby people live together.

In Britain children born outside legitimate marriages have fewer rights to financial support from estranged fathers than legitimate children
