Exercise 8. Translate into English.

1. This is my textbook, and that is yours. 2. This novel is more interesting than that. 3. This cake is not tasty, buy that one. 4. These are our things, and where are theirs? 5. These are our teachers of Maths and Computer Science. 6. Show me those shirts, please. 7. We don’t like these magazines, give us those ones.

Exercise 9. Translate into Russian.

Exercise 12. Translate the sentences with negative pronouns.

No one must go out before the storm is over. 8. We can hear nothing because of the noise. 9. Nobody knows anything on this matter. 10. Nothing can stop us now.

b) 1. No ocean divides Europe from Asia. 2. No animals can speak. 3. We found no trees in the tundra. 4. The moon gives no warmth. 5. Water has no colour. 6. We see no stars during the day time.

Exercise 13. Fill in the gaps with “some, any, no”.
