AN-BB provides all the necessary services (ranging from telephone calls to broadband Internet access, multimedia and video streams) over a single subscriber line.
AN-BB separates broadband and narrowband traffic. The broadband traffic goes to an ATM packet switch. AN-BB provides interfaces for ATM and Ethernet transport networks. It can interact with different local computer networks.
AN-BB supports:
- Asymmetric digital subscriber lines (ADSL) of high bit rate. The lines enable such services like Video on Demand (VoD), broadband internet access, files exchange, e-learning and others.
Symmetric digital subscriber lines (SDSL) of high bit rate (2Mbit/s). Symmetric digital subscriber lines are widely used by busyness subscribers because they enable such services like videoconferences, e-mail service under high load of channel conditions.
Symmetric digital subscriber lines with V5.2 interface (up to 16 El trunks);
Trunks with V5.2 interfaces towards MCA for telephone traffic;
Optical lines towards SDH transport networks.
AN-BB is based on BAN (15slots x 16ADSL = 240) equipment that supports 240 ADSL lines. Hybrid BAN (hBAN) supports 96 ADSL lines and 288 analogue subscriber lines (or 144 ISDN lines). miniBAN (can be installed into MLC) contains one card for 24 ADSL/SDSL lines. microBAN supports from 8 to 24 ADSL subscribers.
Example of tasks.
