The future perfect tense

Характеристика действия

Выражает действие, которое будет совершено к определенному моменту в будущем.

Примеры словосочетаний-сигналов

  • before he comes

  • tomorrow by 3 o’clock

Формула образования

shall / will have + Participle II – для 1-го лица ед. и мн. ч.

will have + Participle II – для всех остальных лиц и чисел.

Утвердительное предложение

I will (shall) have finished to operate the computer before my boss comes back to the office.

Exercise 1. Comment on the use of the Future Perfect Tense in these sentences. Translate them.

Exercise 2. Put the verbs in brackets into the Future Perfect Tense.

1. By the end of the week he (translate) the first part of the book. 2. I am sure that by that time we (finish) packing. 3. If you don’t hurry, the train (go) by the time you reach the station. 4. Exercise 7. Translate these sentences using the Future Perfect Tense.

Exercise 8. Use correct forms of the verbs in brackets: the Future Continuous or Future Perfect Tense.

1. Don’t phone me between 7 and 8. We (have) dinner then. 2. Phone me after 8 o’clock. We (finish) dinner by then. 3. Tomorrow afternoon we’re going to play tennis from 3 o’clock until 4:30. The Future Perfect Continuous (Progressive) Tense

Характеристика действия

Exercise 1. Comment on the use of the Future Perfect Continuous Tense in these sentences. Translate them.
