Pre-listening task: Name the stages involved in travelling by plane, from arrival at the airport to passing through immigration control at the destination. Which is the most intimidating for you?
Main activity: Track 16/CD2
1) You will hear a woman talking about a terrible journey by plane. Look at the pictures, you have to put them in the correct order. Try to predict it now. (for pictures see next page)
2) Now try to repeat the story from memory, you can use the pictures as a guide.
Follow-up:
Think about a journey you remember. It may be a difficult or dangerous journey, or one you found very enjoyable. Make groups of three or four and tell your stories. Make notes while listening, then swap the groups and retell stories you heard.
