ECOSYSTEM STUDIED AT UDAIPUR BEACH, DIGHA; METHOD, OBSERVATION AND CONCLUSION
According to the field study, our task was to analyze and perform a detailed study on the ecosystem of Udipur beach and surrounding areas. The various characteristics noted down and their comments are as follows:-
We chose a fair patch of land to study systematically the variation in diversity of flora and fauna and the rest components associated it.
Satellite picture of udaipur
Observations
The area was of patch type .It was with alternative barren land and dense flora on the on the other.
Since our basis of study was a highland patch moving towards highland and moving away from the beach the species abundance is considerably increasing. But the richness is not exactly known .A visual outlook refers that richness remains constant.
Considering flora, as an entity of biotic component, the angiosperms and gymnosperms are clearly distinguishable.
Lithosphere i.e. sandy-loamy type.
Alternative patches of dense covering and barren land.

FAUNA |
1 Dogs show territorial control.
Dominating are angiosperms; Casuarina sp less but diverse OPUNTIA SP NEEM [A INDICA]
Avifauna includes Drongo Crows Warblers Swift Hoopoe Little egret Green bee eater Woodpecker Parraket

AIR =cold and humid TEMPERATURE =15-20®C |
EXOCOCARIA AGOLLOCHA
OTHER ANIMALS DOGS[C. FAMILARIES] MONGOOSE[Herpestes edwardsii] |
2 Dogs, moths and dragonflies show altruistic behavior. |
Sunlight varies with time; abundantly received by Casuarina trees; Maximum are shrubs growing in the shadows of casuarina |
IPOMEA SPINIFEX LITTOREUS
LOWER GROUP ANIMALS TERMITES,ANTS,DRAGONFLIES MOTHS,FUNGI |
3Upper highlands are filled with animal litter contributing to soil fertility.
Landforms uneven
Buds of gymnosperms abundantly found |
CELLULAR SOME MYCOBACTERIUM AND FEW THERMOPHILES MAY BE FOUND
4Since sunlight is unidirectional and other components are stable, energy flow is maintained. |
Babla and Castord are less dominant but show equal proportion. |
