I. Грамматика: The Nouns

Ағылшын тілінде зат есімнің негізгі суффикстері - ity, ment, ness, ship, ture. мыс: capacity – қабілет. movement – қозғалыс. leadership – басқару ісі. culture - мәдениет.

-er: worker; writer; reader; speaker

-or: actor;

-ment: development; government

-ness: happiness; kindness

-ion: restriction; connection

-dom: freedom; wisdom

-hood: childhood; neighborhood

-ship: leadership; friendship

The Plural form of the Nouns

Зат есімнің көпше түрі сөзге –s, es жалғауының жалғануы арқылы жасалады.

a pen – pens a knife- knives

a book – books a box- boxes

a city- cities a day - days

an army – armies a boy – boys

hero –heroes a piano- pianos

tomato –tomatoes photo- photos

Кейбір зат есімдер тек ғана жекеше түрде қолданылады: sugar, iron, advice, information, money, friendship, love, hair, fruit, news, knowledge, progress, etc.

e.g. He gave me some good advice.

I am satisfied with your progress.

There is little information about it here.

What is the news?

This money belongs to him.

Fruit is cheap in autumn.

scissors-қайшы; trousers-шалбар; spectacles-көзілдірік; scales; clothes- киімдер; wages- еңбек ақы;

e.g These scissors are very sharp.

His trousers are too long.
