Betty’s family.
My name is Betty. I live in a big country house with my family. My father is a vet. That is why there are a lot of different animals in our house. My mother always helps her husband at work and at home. She likes reading “Vets today” magazine. My younger brother Tom has got a pet - a big brown dog. My little sister Kate is good at drawing cats. My favourite pets are a colourful parrot and a long snake.
One day my father took a sick goat to our house. He wanted to watch it carefully. The goat had a stomach-ache and high temperature. It was nervous and angry. It kicked my father and ran after him. Our father gave the goat some cabbage and the goat became kind again.
We were happy when my father came back home. After dinner we decided to take a picture of our family.
“Such a wonderful picture of our family!”, - said my mother. “May I send this photo to my friend from Brazil?” , - I asked. “Oh! It is a surprise! Who is this? How did you make friends?”, - asked the father.
“As you remember I made a trip to South America two years ago and met a new friend Helen. We went for a walk along the seashore in the morning. In the evening we played board games. We spent wonderful time together.” - I said.
“Of course, we’d like to have a photo from Brazil too”.- said my family.
