Student life and our college
It’s great to be a student. This is for several reasons. First of all, you study what you need for you future career. You clearly understand that this education will help you to earn money. Secondly, it’s often what you really enjoy. It’s absolutely amazing to have a good job and like it with all your heart. Finally, I’d also like to say that that student life isn’t the same as hard work. You can spend time on your hobbies. On the one hand, you need to study to receive good education. On the other hand, you have plenty of time for yourself. I am currently a student at Kharkiv Medical College # 2.
There are many Institutes, Universities and Colleges in Ukraine. Kharkiv Medical College # 2 is among them. It achieved the status of College in 2005. Previously it was called Kharkiv Medical School # 2, which was founded in 1937. Our College has an excellent reputation in general public. Now there are three departments in our College: “Nursing Affair”, “Stomatology”, “Orthopedic stomatology”. The teaching staff consists of experienced teachers, doctors and pharmaceutists. They deliver lectures, conduct seminars and practical classes. They publish a lot of articles, monographs and text-books for students.
The students of our College have all kinds of laboratories and classrooms, excellent library and reading hall at their disposal. The laboratories are provided with the most up-todate equipment. The students who come from other cities and villages live in hostels.
Many students are members of scientific societies.
Besides mastering the entire course of medical training the students take an active part in social life. There is a wide choice of amateur circles. Students participate in festive concerts, sing, dance and recite poems. There are many sport sections where students go in for sports.
The nurses and dental mechanics graduating from our College work in all parts of our country. They are held in high respect as good specialists.
