№ 5 Main principles of control methods and analyses of observations of those taking up physical culture in health groups

Remedial physical culture is widely used in health groups. They are completed according to the person's age and physical state. Training is held twice or thrice a week, its durability being 45 - 60 min. The training lesson consists of three parts: initial (warming up), main and final. The elements of gymnastics, game, relay, dancing rhythmical movements arc mostly used. Great attention is paid to the emotional effect which positively tells on the functional state of the trainees' organism. The degree of physical load is evaluated according to physiological curve of the lesson-diagram of training intensity. The objective indeces of training effectiveness and evaluation of the functional state of trainees are the alterations in dynamics of cardiovascular and respiratory systems. One should observe the pulse rate in the initial state and after training lessons. One may take into account the response of the organism to specific exercises and parts of the lesson and determine the general intensity of the lesson and its parts. By pulse one can determine the coefficient of the reaction and register the pulse diagram. Measuring one's blood pressure before and after lessons is of great importance. Attention should be paid to the reaction of systolic, diastolic and pulse pressure. Favorable reactions contribute to increasing pulse pressure and unfavorable reactions account for decreasing the latter. Reaction with the sharp increase of systolic or diastolic pressure is considered as hypertension type. It shows the presence of vascular hypertension. Hypertension type to of reaction on physical load is considered unfavorable. For this particular type sharp increase of pulse rate and insignificant rise of blood pressure is evident. One can notice a dissociated reaction. In this case there is no synchronous response of pulse together with blood pressure. One of these indeces gives a positive reaction (increasing and lifting) and the other - negative reaction (slowing down and decreasing). This reaction is met with middle-aged people and more often with elderly people. It testifies to the breach of vascular system and presence of vegeto-vascular disease. Additional observations ere carried out to follow the change of breathing rate and life volume of lungs.

№ 6 Methods of regulated jogging used in nursery schools

Besides other methods of physical culture lessons the department of remedial physical culture and sports of the Kharkov Institute of Physical Culture introduced regulated jogging at the age of 5 in the kindergarten. Methods of this kind of jogging were devised on the basis of medical observation data. An annual cycle of lessons is divided into four stages. At the first stage jogging technique is taught. For this purpose specific running exercises are used. Five- year-old children start continuous running with 20sec, six-year-old children - with 25 sec, seven-year-old children - with 30 sec in the rate of 70- 80 paces per minute. In two successive lessons running time is added by 15sec. This stage lasts for two months. At the second stage the running load is increased and with the passing lesson the 15 seconds running is added. This stage lasts for five months. By the end of the stage five-year-old children run for 9 minutes, six-year-old children run for 12 minutes seven-year-old children run for 15 minutes. At the third stage running time is not increased but the variability of running load is changed. Here are used interval, shuttle and relay race. This stage lasts for 3 months. At the fourth stage the decrease of running load takes place. Competitions between two groups are held. The stage lasts for 2 months. The lesson of regulated running consists of three parts: initial, main and final. At the initial part one can use exercises which prepare the organism for running intensive loads. At the main part regulated running is used. And at the final part it is recommended to do exercises aimed at the regeneration. After lessons children go to their premises and rub their bodies with dry towels.
