2.5.8.3 Roof Function

Door mostly used in building are classified into the following types depending upon.

a. Arrangement of different components of door

1. ledged, braced and battened door

b. Method or manners of construction

  • framed and paneled door

  • flush doors.

  • louvered doors

c. Nature of working operation

  • revolving doors

  • Sliding doors

2.6.2 Plastering

The term plastering means the application of smooth coot of material to wall and ceiling the purpose of plastering is to provide joint less hygienic decorated smooth finish to walls.

Objective of plastering

Plastering is done to achieve the following objects:

a) To protect the external surface agencies penetration of rain water and other atmospheric agencies

b) To give decorative effect

c) To give smooth surface in with dust and dirt cannot lodge

d) To protect surface agents varmint

e) To conceal inferior material or definitive work man ship

Requirement of good plaster

-The plaster material should full fill the following requirements

-It should be hard and durable

-It should pass good workability

-It should be cheap

-It should possible to apply it during all weather condition

- It should effectively check penetration of moisture

The selection of type plaster depends up on the following factors:

  • Availability of bending material

  • Durability requirement

  • Finishing requirement

  • Atmospheric condition and variation in weather

  • Location of surface
