Dinner in the Sky

Dinner in the Sky is hosted at a table suspended at a height of 50 metres. It accommodates 22 people around the table with three staff members in the middle (chef, waiter, entertainer). Dinner in the Sky is a unique event meant for anyone who wishes to transform an ordinary meal or meeting into a magical moment that will leave a lasting impression on their guests! Breakfast in the sky, lunch in the sky, cocktails in the sky, meeting in the sky, internet café in the sky… there is no limit to your imagination.

In The Dark Restaurant in London

Dans Le Noir restaurant in London employs blind waiters who lead customers to and through the pitch-black dining experience. Would oranges be as appetising if they were called greens? Would we pay the same for expensive wine if we couldn't see the label? And would my dinner taste better if I hadn't just poured half a glass of sauvignon blanc on it?

Ice Restaurant in Dubai

Chillout is the first ice lounge in the Middle East where everything from decoration, furniture and teacups is made from ice. An ice bar in Shanghai sounds odd enough, but an ice house in Dubai is simply outrageous. Inside of the lounge you will have a -5 Celsius environment where basically everything from decoration, furniture and teacups are made of ice… but outside of the lounge, you will have a constant heat of over 40 Celsius in daytime. Just bizarre. For USD17, a visitor will be provided with necessary clothing and a hot drink that is likely to turn cold in minutes.

Underwater Restaurant in Maldives

Beautiful underwater restaurant secured 5 metres below sea level at the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa in Rangalifinolhu, Maldives. The restaurant has a capacity of 14 people and is encased in transparent acrylic roof offering 270° panoramic view to its customers. The 5-by-9-metre (16 by 30 ft) mostly acrylic structure has a capacity of 14 people and is encased in R-Cast acrylic with a transparent roof offering a 270° panoramic underwater view. The restaurant was designed and constructed by M.J. Murphy Ltd – a design consultancy based in New Zealand – and was opened on in April 2005, describing itself as the world's first undersea restaurant. Food served in the restaurant has changed over the years and is now described as contemporary European with Asian influences. Ithaa's entrance is a spiral staircase in a thatched pavilion at the end of a jetty. The tsunami which followed the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake topped at 0.31 metres (1 ft 0 in) below the staircase entrance, and caused no damage to the restaurant.

The restaurant is also used for private parties and weddings. In April 2010, to celebrate Ithaa's 5th anniversary, the restaurant could be booked as an overnight residence. This "underwater suite" promotion continued until April 2011.

Genes@co-op Cafe at Barney's New York

Genes@co-op is an interactive cafe featuring a 30-foot long digital banquet table that boasts a simple and interactive touch-screen system. The sleekly designed cafe opened up in 2011 as part of Barney's relaunch of their 8th floor Co-op. NYC design consultancy 2 x 4 was commissioned by Barney's to design the dining table and the result is a "digital river" with 28 individual screens. Users can seamlessly look at the menu, order food, call the server, browse Barney's New York merchandise, view articles and videos from Barney's blog, The Window, and dine-- all on the same surface. The first cafe to use such technology, Genes@co-op has been successful and left costumer impressed with the unique, interactive, and high-tech dining experience.
