  1. It’s an English book that I’m reading — “Pickwick Papers” by Charles Dickens.

  2. Very! But the style is a bit difficult.

  3. Not exactly. Still, it’s not modern colloquial Englis* you know.

  1. Then why read it?

  2. That’s true.

  3. Yes, they’re magnificent in the play too. The play is re­ally a work of art.

  4. I’ll tell you what. You let me take the book, and I’ll get tickets for both of us for the play. I shouldn’t mind seeing it again at all.

  1. Well, you see, the characters are wonderfully done.
