+ - He is a doctor, isn’t he?

Согласие + Yes, he is. Да, он врач. Возражение – No, he is not. Нет, он не врач.

+ - He isn’t a doctor, isn’t he?

Согласие + No, he is not. Нет, он не врач. Возражение – But yes, he is. Нет, он врач.

Exercise 1. Translate into Russian.

XXVII. Sequence of tenses (согласование времен)

Если глагол в главном предложении стоит в одном из прошедших времен, то и глагол придаточного предложения должен стоять в одном из прошедших времен. Пользуйтесь следующей схемой:
