MY BIOGRAPHY

Let me introduce myself. My name is Ann Petrova. I’m 18 years old. I was born in 1988. My birthday is on the 10-th of March. I’m tall and slim. My hair is dark and my eyes are brown.

This year I finished secondary school. In August I passed entrance examinations at the Shakhty Institute of the South Russia State Technical University. Now I’m a first-year student of the Institute. I study many different subjects but my favorite ones are Mathematics and English. I’m going to be an economist.

My family is not very large. There are four of us: my parents, my brother and I. My father is 45. He is an engineer. My mother is 42. She is a school teacher. I like my parents very much. I get on well with them. I always help my mother about the house.

My brother is a schoolboy. His name is Oleg. He is in the tenth form, and he likes to play football very much.

As for me I don’t go in for sports. I only like to watch different sport competitions on TV. My hobby is reading and collecting science fiction books. In my childhood I collected stamps and I have six albums of them.

My friend’s name is Olga. We like to spend time together. Usually we walk in the streets or go to the park if the weather is fine. But when it’s cold or it’s raining we prefer to stay in and listen to music, watch TV or just talk.

Also we have a pet in our family. It’s a dog. It’s my brother’s duty to take the dog out for a walk but he often asks me to do it instead of him. Usually I agree, but sometimes we argue about it. In spite of it we are friendly, and I often help him to do his home assignments.

I also have grandparents. But they don’t live with us. They live in the country now. They moved to the country 5 years ago when they retired. I like to visit them on my holidays.
