My future speciality (a financier)
One of the most significant decisions you make in life is choosing the kind of work you want to do. I consider the occupation I've chosen to be the one that best suits me.
After graduating from Berdychiv College of Industry, Economics and Law I’ll become a financier. It is one of the fastest-growing professions and one of the most popular fields of study at colleges and universities. Financial understanding is important to anyone who wants to invest in stocks and bonds or plan a retirement fund.
Finance is the function in business that is responsible for getting funds within the firm and planning for the expenditures of funds. Without a carefully calculated financial plan the firm cannot exist and function properly.
A financier performs direct financial activities, such as planning, procurement, and investments for all or part of an organization.
He is employed either by government agencies or private business firms. Many financiers work for banks, insurance companies, manufacturing firms etc.
I study at the faculty of Finance at Berdychiv College of Industry, Economics and Law. I guess to be a good specialist we must have a thorough understanding of economic theory, mathematical methods of economic analysis, basic statistical procedures, finance, accounting, business transactions, bank payments, taxes etc. Besides, most job openings for financiers require advanced training. Those college graduates who wish to seek higher level jobs usually enter university and obtain a bachelor's or master's degree in finance. So, on graduating from college I am going to continue my education at one of the universities of Ukraine.
My future speciality (an accountant/a bookkeeper)
Next year I'll graduate from Berdychiv College of Industry, Economics and Law and become a specialist who is in a great need for our national economy. Accounting is one of the fastest-growing professions and one of the most popular fields of study in colleges and universities now.
Every business and organization needs systematic and up-to-date records of accounts and business transactions. Bookkeepers and accountants maintain these records in journals and ledgers or in the memory of a computer and provide accounting services.
I study at the Accounting faculty. To be a good specialist we must have good knowledge of Finance, Accounting and Financial Statements, business transactions, bank payments, etc. We must know accounting information systems, how to record and analyze financial transactions to help Management and other interested parties to make correct financial decisions or to check up and evaluate financial health of an organization.
Accountants analyze the financial strength of the firm right from the start, preparing financial statements showing all money received and paid out. This information in the form of Balance Sheet and Income Statement is needed to State Administration, Tax Authorities, banks, Management, creditors, suppliers, etc.
The majority of us will be accountants. So, our task is to follow accounting principles and rules, to check up correctness of accounting records and to evaluate financial position of an organization, as well as to advise the interested parties on financial matters.
