Undercover

Confessions 01a parking anendant'-!!!I.

The job of a parking attendant (PA) is not a rewarding one.

They have to walk about 25 kilometres every day, in all weather conditions. Drivers sometimes threaten

1 to lw.r.t..eA.:$.... (hu rt; PAs) when they a re given tickets.

And there a re about th ree physical attacks on PAs every day -just in London.

However, when a n u ndercover reporter from the BBC applied for a job as a PA, he d iscovered illegal tickets,

Another BBC reporter, worki ng

PA who agreed

When the BBC told the pa rki ng compa nies a bout the reporters' experiences, they promised 8 ....................................

serious. And Nkem says himsel f, "the vast* majority of parking attenda nts a re honest and hard -working."

Howeve r, it seems clea r that some are not .
