2.Why are the teenagers addicted in our time?

The teenage years are a period of growth and exploration. It’s a time when we move out of the constricted and protected world of home and school and into a larger world – full of adventure and, yes, danger. Part of the danger is not having solid information to rely on. Peer pressure and limited experience act together, putting teens at risk of making bad choices out of ignorance.

3.How does it begin?

Nowadays teenagers become increasingly closed. This contributes to loneliness and strange thoughts in the head. And precisely this starting to be addicted teenagers. Addictions can be safe but broadly involve turns into dangers. Now I will talk about it.

4.Statistics.

5.Internet addiction.

While time spent online can be hugely productive, compulsive Internet use can interfere with daily life, work, and relationships. When you feel more comfortable with your online friends than your real ones, or you can’t stop yourself from playing games, gambling, or compulsively checking your smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device—even when it has negative consequences in your life—then you may be using the Internet too much. Learn about the signs and symptoms of Internet addiction and how to balance your life online and off.

What is Internet addiction or computer addiction?

Internet Addiction, otherwise known as computer addiction, online addiction, or Internet addiction disorder (IAD), covers a variety of impulse-control problems, including:

Cyber-Relationship Addiction – addiction to social networking, chat rooms, texting, and messaging to the point where virtual, online friends become more important than real-life relationships with family and friends.

Net Compulsions – such as compulsive online gaming, gambling, stock trading, or compulsive use of online auction sites such as eBay, often resulting in financial and job-related problems.

Computer Addiction – obsessive playing of off-line computer games, such as Solitaire or Minesweeper, or obsessive computer programming.

The most common of these Internet addictions are online gambling, and cyber-relationship addiction.

For many people, an important aspect of overcoming Internet and computer addiction is to find alternate ways to handle these difficult feelings. Even when your Internet use is back to healthy levels, the painful and unpleasant feelings that may have prompted you to engage in unhealthy Internet use in the past will remain. So, it’s worth spending some time thinking about the different ways you intend to deal with stressful situations and the daily irritations that would normally have you logging on.

6.Smoking.

Smoking tobacco in the U.S. goes back almost 400 years, with the first cash crop of tobacco leaf grown in Jamestown in 1612. It is only in the last 50 years that smoking has been recognized as more than just a ‘nasty habit’ and seen to be a true addiction.

How addictive is smoking?

In 2007, a study in the British Medical Journal, Lancet ranked tobacco along with nineteen other abused substances on a scale of dependence and physical harm. Tobacco was more addictive than amphetamines, barbiturates, and alcohol. It placed about even with cocaine. The only abused drug that clearly beat it was heroin.

Expense

Cigarettes range from $3 to a whopping $8 a pack and more increases are on the way. It is common for smokers to spend over $2,000 a year on their habit.

Smell

Non-smokers can testify to the stink smokers carry around with them on their clothes, their hair and breath. Smokers also generate a surprising amount of litter in the form of cigarette butts and empty cigarette packages.

Shared danger

Second hand smoke is no longer suspected of causing real harm; it has been demonstrated in many studies
