There are many means of business communication. Among them are personal computers, mobile phones and faxes.
A computer is an electronic device that can store, retrieve, and process data. Nowadays portable computers such as notebooks and palmtops are very popular. All tangible parts of a computer: circuits, displays, power supplies, cables, keyboards, printers and mice are called hardware. Software refers to parts of the computer which do not have a material form, such as programs, data, protocols, etc.
When you have a personnel computer you can use Internet. The Internet is a worldwide network of computers. It opens up vast resources and business opportunities for millions. You can communicate in various ways; find interesting things, and exchange information and files. The most common things you can do are:

The World Wide Web is the most exciting aspect of the Internet. It is a universe of pages containing text, images, sounds, and video clips. The Web was invented by Tim Berners-Lee and others at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) in Switzerland. The information on the Web is displayed in websites. A website may consist of a single page or many pages under a common site name. To load and display a web page you can use software called browser.
The most widely-used function on the Internet is E-mail (electronic mail). E-mail is the transmission and distribution of information over electronic communication systems. E-mail is cheap and easy to use. It provides the communication between the employees of an organization, between a company and its clients and suppliers, and between different people having electronic mail-boxes.
A fax also has a wide application. A fax is a device connected to the telephone which is able to scan a paper document and to send it to the people having the same device.
The mobile communication is also very popular nowadays. It provides the wireless telephone communication. Mobile phones give you an opportunity to communicate at almost every place. Modern mobile phones have many functions: using Internet, embedded photo and video cameras, mp3 players, sanding SMS and MMS, voice mail, etc.
