Achieving the goal

My guiding question is “How Walt Disney achieved success in his life”, so it connects to my research and those research, I believe, clearly shown in the final product.

The following specification of my bookmarks is:

• Printed on thin paper

• Colored

• 3 languages

• No more than 15 tips and quotes

• Containing pictures

• Title

• Clearly seen letters

For understanding how does my product work for community, because my area of interaction is community and service, I gave my product for different ages of people ( I gave 5 bookmarks for 4 grade students, 5 for 7 grade students and 5 for teachers, all of them speak in 3 languages). Then I gave them questionnaire about my product (they told me how it works to them), and I have noticed that most of them like my product and it is very useful. Also I have asked them about the quality of the product and results were almost successful. I made different piecharts, which show results of my investigation. (1 – very bad, 5 - exelent). After each questions everyone should leave a comment why he/she thinks like that. [7]

I think I achieved my goal which was to identify the receipt of Disneys’ success and give community something which will inspire them to become successful as it did Walt. I believe that my first judges is community, because I did my investigation not just for myself, but also for them, and as I have understand from last questionnaire they agree that I did a good job and my product is successfully done and works. I strongly believe that it will help them all.

Reflection on learning

Actually this is very amazing part of my life, even it was hard. The personal project taught me in many ways: I have developed all my Atl skills; my understanding of IB program and more clearly view of AoI “Community and Service”. I believe that my product will help them in their future to make their dreams come true. I feel, my investigation and product were useful for community, even I didn`t raised money and did charity work, however I tried to inspire them, make them believe in themselves, because I know that everyone can help themselves without material things, but with dream and a life goal. Throw the project I have communicated with many people, with different types of resources. I have developed my reflective skill, even after watching a film. Also I have developed my writing skill which will be very important for my future because I need to have more experiences before studding in university, moreover working in the job. I believe that my English also has been improved, while more than half of the years I studied many subjects in it, besides moderations works. Honesty say it was really hard for me doing all these stuff (personal project and moderations works), because I never had so much capacity in one year, moreover there were very strict deadlines for each moderation works, which have developed my organizations skills. I am very thankful for it because I should do my work on time, it is kind of preparations for university.

My knowledge about Walt Disney became larger, and I learned something very special about his life and about his personality. I think there is huge benefit of this topic for every person in the world, even all of us have different dreams and goals in the life, however, major part of us can`t achieve success without trying, “falling down” and continue working, even it is very hard. I feel that through this topic I was inspired to finish it and then think about my future, to achieve everything I want; even it will be very hard. I have understood that our life not easy thing, and we would not have everything which we want fast, because if we do, we can`t develop physically and moral, which is very important for ourselves as people. If we want to left something in this planet and be useful for community, we should definitely be prepared to work hard and go forward, never give up. Based on knowledge which I have taken from the project, I will use them in my life starting from now, because I face with different kind of situations, which sometimes might be strange and hard to solve, but as I have noticed, Walt Disney had many of those situations if his hard life, starting from his childhood, but he tried his best, that why he is famous in whole world, even he died many years ago. I also want to make my dreams come true, because as Walt Disney said: “If you can dream it, you can do it”.
