Agent: Good morning! TOURS ARE US, Mandy speaking. How can I help you.
Customer: Good morning! I’d like some information about day tour to the mountains.
Agent: O.K. Are you interested in skiing or just seeing the snow, you know sightseeing?
Customer: Well, I don’t think we want to go skiing, but may be hiking or other activity.
Agent: Right. Let’s see! We have day trips every Saturday and Sunday.
Customer: What time do they start?
Agent: Umm…the coach leaves the city center at 6.30 a.m. and returns approximately 8 p.m.
Customer: A coach?
Agent: Yes. A luxury bus.
Customer: Oh! How long does it take to get there? I mean, how much time do we have in the snow?
Agent: Well, it takes about three and a half to get there and three and half hour to get back, so you have about six hours on the mountain.
Customer: That sounds good! Maybe there is time to go skiing.
Agent: For sure. But you need to make arrangements to ski before you go.
Customer: Oh, why?
Agent: So we can provide you a discount on ski lifts to the snow runs. If we make group booking it is actually cheaper for you.
Customer: O.K.! Now what about cost? How much is a day trip?
Agent: Well, if you don’t want to ski, it’s $75.
Customer: Does that include lunch?
Agent: Umm… no. But there is a stop about halfway to and from the mountain, and you get a voucher for tea or coffee and biscuits. You can take your own lunch, or on the mountain there’s a fantastic restaurant that offers a large variety of meals and snacks at reasonable prices.
Customer: That sound good! Is there a concession price for children?
Agent: No. I’m sorry it’s $75 for each passenger.
Customer: What if I want to ski? How much is that?
Agent: That’s…Let’s see… $125. That’s the coach, return trip, ski hire and boot hire and lift pass.
Customer: That sounds reasonable. How far in advance do I need to book?
Agent: At the moment, I can put you on the coach this weekend. Sorry, how many people do you want to book for?
Customer: Umm… I’m not sure if’t is four or six.
Agent: Well, if you want a group booking, I’m sure we can offer a discount of perhaps 5% - if you book and pay the deposit the week before you want to go.
Customer: Let me check $75 for a day trip?
Agent: Yes that’s right!
Customer: And $120 to go skiing?
Agent: $125, but with a 5% discount on a group booking you would pay less.
Customer: Well, thank you for your time and information. I’ll talk to my friends and call you with a date to make a booking. Sorry, what’s was you name again?
Agent: It’s Mandy. And can I have your name?
Customer: Yes, It’s Alex. Thanks Mandy. I’ll call you when I’ve spoken to my friends.
