Сценарій байки "The Hare and the Tortoise"

Персонажі:

Заєць (Hare)

Черепаха (Tortoise)

Жаба (Frog)

Білка (Squirrel)

Миша (Mouse)

Реквізит: старт і фініш (плакати, стрічка), костюми персонажів.

Hare: Hello, forest people! Let's run a race with me! We shall run round the wood. Will you run with me, frog?

Frog: No, not I. I can't run so fast.

Hare: And you, Squirrel?

Squirrel: Oh, no, you run faster than me.

Hare: What about you, mouse?

Mouse: Oh, no, I can't run with you.

Hare: You don’t want to run because you know that I’m the best runner in the wood!

Tortoise: I'd like to run with you.

Hare: But you are so slow!

Tortoise: Let's start the race.

Hare: All right. (to the public) What a silly tortoise! I run much faster than she does.

Frog, Squirrel, Mouse: Ready! Steady! Go!

(The hare and the tortoise start running; the tortoise falls behind.)

Hare: (looks back) Where is that slow tortoise? I can't even see her. But it's very hot today. I think I can have a little nap. (The hare lies down and falls asleep; the tortoise passes him.)

Hare: (wakes up) What's the time? Oh, I'm late! I must run very-very fast!

Frog, Squirrel, Mouse: Hooray! Hooray! The tortoise is the first!

Hare: (runs up) What's this? Who's the first?

Tortoise: It's me! I'm the first!

Hare: (to the public) But why, with my wonderful legs, I'm not the first?
