III. Translate the sentences paying attention to the Absolute participle construction.
1. This is advice used for detection and measurement of light, its principle of action being simple. 2. Герундий – неличная форма глагола, совмещающая в себе свойства существительного (употребляется с предлогами, указательными и притяжательными местоимениями) и глагола (имеет видовременные и залоговые формы, прямое дополнение и может определяться обстоятельством, выраженным наречием). Герундий выражает действие, представляя его как название процесса.
