Подлежащее предложения и инфинитив, соотносящийся с ним по смыслу, могут составлять конструкцию «сложное подлежащее», которое переводится на русский язык с помощью придаточного предложения.

Complex Subject употребляется после:

1.следующих глаголов в пассивном залоге: а) to see to hear to notice и др.	The truck was seen to leave the Customs Enclosure. Видели, как грузовик покинул зону таможенного контроля.
в) to think to consider to believe to expect to suppose to know и др.	The rates of duty on some goods are expected to be raised. Ожидается, что ставки пошлин на некоторые товары будут повышены.
с) to say to report to announce to ask to allow 2. словосочетаний: to be likely- вероятно; to be unlikely- маловероятно, вряд ли; to be certain / sure несомненно, наверняка	The anti- drug raid is reported to be a success.
