Visiting a doctor

Last week I caught a bad cold. I had a running nose, a bad cough and a sore throat. The temperature was 38.5. I also had a headache and couldn’t sleep. I decided to go to the clinic. The doctor examined me and said that I had the flu. He told me to stay in bed for a few days and prescribed some medicine. He put me on the sick list. When I returned home, I went to bed at once. I had some hot tea with honey and took some medicine. The treatment helped me. Soon I felt better and a few days later I recovered. My temperature became normal. When I came to the doctor, he advised me to spend a lot of time in the open air and devoted more time to sport.

The doctor visited me

Four days ago I suddenly fell ill. I had a splitting headache and a terrible cough. The temperature was 38,1 (thirty-eight point one). Besides my nose was clogged up.

My mother telephoned to our doctor and she came in an hour. She examined me, tock the temperature, measured my blood pressure and said: «Nothing serious, just a flu. Keep your bad for a few days. Don’t go out or else you’ll get complications. Mustard plasters will be useful for you. »

The doctor prescribed me to gargle, and to take mixture and pills. She was wished me good luck and went away. She was very busy because it was the epidemic of flu.

Four days passed. I followed all the instructions of the doctor and was almost well.
