Prepositions (time)
IN
expressing a period of time during which an event happens (years, months, seasons, parts of the day)
They met in 1885.
They went away in January
They go on holidays in summer.
He gets up in the morning.
NOTE: if the nouns denoting a part of the day have attributes they are used with the preposition on:
on a fine summer morning
on the morning of the 1st of July
The parts of yesterday, today and tomorrow are used without an article.
Yesterday morning I got up very early
This morning I have English classes
Tomorrow afternoon I will be in Greece
expressing the length of time before a future event is expected to happen
I'll see you in fifteen minutes

indicating the exact day of the month
