Local transport
As we don’t have monthly tickets here, we will give to each of you the amount of 10€ monthly to cover local travel expenses you might have. As transport is very cheap here (one way ticket is 1,5-2,5 hryvnas (0,15 – 0,25€) it’s enough to cover monthly travel expenses.
In case if volunteer will use more than 10€ monthly for trips connected to work and taking into consideration the cheapest mean of transport, extra expenses will be reimbursed as well. We will ask you to make calculation in the end of ever month in order to get additional reimbursement if you spend more than 10 euros for travels needed by project activities.
To will need to cover by yourself your personal local travels which have no connection to project activities.
Pocket money and money for food
According to the rate of Youth in Action Programe, EVS volunteers who comes to Ukraine receives 80 € of pocket money. Besides, volunteers will receive 80 € as food money. All this money will be delivered to volunteers on monthly base in Ukrainian currency according to the rules fixed in Activity Agreement.
Support
During the project volunteer will be provided with support in planning work and developing the project by the project coordinator.
Individual support will be provided by mentor. Mentor will help volunteers on individual base to adapt to local environment, to meet local friends, to improve language skills, to solve personal needs or/and problems in case of any. You should receive mail from your mentor very soon!
Support into conduction of activities will be provided by team of local volunteers who will support with translation during the games with children as well as by our “old” long-term volunteers.
Language support will be provided by Russian teacher or language tandem partner, as well as by mentor.

your youth card >26 (in case if you have already receive it)
if you have – 6 photos passport size (we will need it during local registration process, if you don’t have – we will make it here)
TICKETS and BOARDING PASSES and INVOICES to confirm visa payments!
4 copies of signed by you and your sending organization pages of Activity Agreement (in case if sending organization didn’t send it by post)
10% payment of your travel costs (not needed for whose of you for whom sending organization covers 10% of travel costs)
WARM CLOTHES!!!! Really, guys, take everything the warmest what you have!
mobile phone without SIM-lock which you can use with Ukrainian SIM card
camera – to memorize your moments in Ukraine
materials for country presentation (e.g. some typical food and drinks, flag, music, leaflets from your country/region/city, postcards or anything what is special for your country/region) – not obligatory, just if you want – you will have a chance to use them during the first meeting with mentors and local youth during first weekend of October and later during your country presentation
favorite pillow / sleeping puppy - if you need
some personal objects (e.g. photos of family, friends, etc.) – if you want
something, that you can use to fill in the empty wall next to your bed, to make your own corner more personal
