Colour of aggregate

A wide variety in the colour of aggregate is possible and attention should be paid to the opportunities of obtaining decorative results. The traditional examples of this, is the use of marble aggregate to form terrazzo, but many interesting effects can be obtained from less expensive materials. It is now common practice to use a wide variety of coloured aggregates in facing concrete. These special aggregates are usually confined to thin surface layers with addition of more ordinary materials.
