TWO-YEAR-OLD SWIMS 1,700 METRES ACROSS GANGES

Kayua, Gupta, a two-year-old girl in India,

(1) entered/ has entered the record books for swimming 1,700 metres across the turbulent Ganges river.

The Deccan Chronicle reports that she (2) breaks/ broke the earlier record of 1,500 metres set by three-year old Taruna Nishad of Allahabad.

It is being reported that though the two-year old’s coach, and five lifeguards (3) were remained/remained close at hand for help, she (4) has crossed/ crossed the swirling waters without any help.
