3 Control questions
3.1 Describe the principle of call routing.
3.2 Describe the principle of call routing while intraswitch connection setup.
3.3 Describe the principle of call routing while outgoing connection setup.
3.4 Describe the purpose of Prefix menu.
3.5 Describe the purpose of Local Destination menu.
3.6 Describe the purpose of Outgoing Destination menu.
3.7 Describe the purpose of Path menu.
3.8 Describe the purpose of Route Seizure Share menu.
3.9 Describe the purpose of Trunk Group menu.
4 Hometask
4.1 Answer the control questions in written from.
4.2 Get acquainted with operating procedures for call routing management.
5 Lab assignment
5.1 Switch on the computer with Management Node software.
5.2 Get acquainted with routing data already present insystem.
5.3 Determine the numeration (prefixes, number length) which has to be routed for external comm direction; signaling link for it was configured in lab #7.
5.4 Create new Trunk Group. Trunks here are two-directional. Use following channel occupation methods: Priority FIFO, non-priority LIFO. The signaling is of SS7 type, signaling point and register signals variant is similar as in lab #7. Use regular disconnection method. Do not implement additional services and white/black lists for trunk group. The remained options you may leave on default.
5.5 Insert the trunk into group. Use free channel numbers, Start CIC equals 2. Port number is similar to one in #7. The remained options leave on default.
5.6 Create new route. Take trunk number from the 5.4. Digit quantity is from 5.3. Digits have to be transmitted in blocks, and the remained options leave on default.
5.7 Create a variant of route occupation. The variant number is up to you, all other options leave on default.
5.8 Create new outgoing destination. Route number is up to you, all remained options leave on default.
5.9 Indicate the correspondence of destination to the route occupation method.
5.10 Create a prefix. Take destination from 5.8; the destination type is Outgoing Call, all remained – by default.
5.11 Make a test call if another side is configured and physical connection is present.
5.12 Determine the data for intraswitch calls routing (number of local destinations, quantity of number digits in directions.
5.13 Determine new local numeration (number length must be different to existing already numeration). Make a corresponding note in numeration plan. Create two subscriber accounts, perform a port lock-on (#5).
5.14 Create a new local destination for the numeration from 5.13
5.15 Create a new prefix for numeration from 5.13
5.16. Make test calls between subscribers of new numeration plan.
5.17 Make test calls between subscribers of new and old numeration plans.
