5.English villages

England-old woman beckons in London, Liverpool and Manchester, where you will certainly meet all the benefits of this highly civilized country. However, no less famous for its open spaces Britain outside the major cities, flowing quiet measured life in small villages fabulous beauty.

Fletford

And the first of them, Fletforde, surprised at how neat and beautiful can be a village. If this is you and me, first of all, the dirt on the knee and Belarus tractors, predatory scurrying through the gaps skewed houses, everything else. Homemade thatched roofs are all equal as the selection, but around an atmosphere of calm and harmony. Among other things, in Fletforde beautifully preserved bridge of the 16th century.

Ambleside

This village is located in the north-west of England in the county of Cumbria. It is famous for its waterfall, which is especially beautiful in spring of blooming daffodils. Most of the houses are built of stone, they successfully create the full effect of time travel to medieval Britain - and look to sweep past a cavalcade of horsemen accompanying the crew of Queen Victoria.

Haworth

This village is located in West Yorkshire and glorified in the first place, the Bronte sisters, women writers of the 19th century. Here is the home of the family, which is now a museum dedicated to their lives. These young writers often come in search of the source of creativity of talented sisters. As we know, most of his works are written in these walls. This may seem already a bit odd, but also has a waterfall in the village of Bronte Bridge Bronte Bronte and even stone.

Polperro

There have been instances when this British village, located in Cornwall particularly impressionable travelers took for the Italian. Painfully, it resembles the Italian port towns, where small houses are creeping up the slopes of the mountains and hills on the banks of the safe havens. Here it is good boating, walking through the small streets, looking in antique shops, and well worth a visit Fisheries Museum and the Museum of smuggling.

Castleton

This village is about a thousand years. Needless to say that the number of historical attractions here goes almost all reasonable limits: here and the famous Castle Peveril, and mine is Odin, and one of the Kasltonskih caves. But the expanse around Castleton abounds high hills, lush green vegetation and paths leading up - where the air is more fresh and clean than the village itself, which would seem to be impossible.

Devonia

This is, without exaggeration, the perfect English village. On three sides it is surrounded by forest vegetation, with the fourth - washed by the sea, which opens to the absolutely stunning views. Streets are narrow and paved with cobblestones, and if all the gingerbread houses - white with bright painted shutters. There were no cars or motorbikes - not to break the fabulous flavor. In all of this Devon village is private, and its entrance fee

Amberly

One of the most beautiful places in all of the UK it is a village of the same name, and Amberley Castle, performing the functions of these days the hotel. So here you can literally live like a king or lord: with oak gates of six human growth, extensive gardens for walking, antique furniture, each item of which is the average minikuper and huge fireplaces in the rooms. However, this does not prevent all of the hotel to keep the comfort and luxury at its current level - it is doubtful that a tennis court and a golf course, there is a time of Henry I. The area around the typical English - hilly and marshy. Medieval romance rolls in Amberley so that in these parts even live dragons. Unless, of course, to believe the stories of some of the locals. Is it worth it as you think?
