2.5 Initial setup of the access points di-524
1 Plug the adapter into the USB port on your computer.
2 Plug the router into an electrical network.
3 Button RESET return the router to factory settings (name
username: admin, password: ( obvious gap keys , default network name ,gateway 192.168.0.1,protection: disabled, DHCP enabled, network type: mixed (b/g),
bitrate: auto).
4 Check the default wireless network and connect to it.
5 If the network is unavailable or unable to connect, check:
a)whether the adapter is enabled;
b) wheather access point is enabled in the network;
c) check TCP/IP settings (auto receiving of Protocol settings).
6 Run any browser and then in the address bar type http://192.168.0.1 and
press Enter. As a result you will receive the router invitation. If it does not appear then check out all listed above items.
7 Press in the opened window the Run Wizard button to view the settings. Run
Wizard-> > Next – change password (do not change it) – > > Next – select time
area (select appropriate) – Next > >--Get a dynamic IP address
Next – > MAC address (not changing) – > Installing wireless connections (network name ,channel number,protection algorithm,key-not changing) – Next-> > Exit
2.6. Base setting of di-524
1 Browser -http://192.168.0.1 – user name (admin): password (skip if the factory settings are working or input for example ‘space’ by “space” button and then OK) come into main menu window ,default bookmark Home.
2 Wireless-Network ID (SSID): CC-WiFi-Channel: 6 ( do not change ) – Security: none- - button Apply.
3 Button WAN. Select Dynamic IP Address.
4 Button LAN. IP address DI-524: 192.168.0.1. Network mask: 255.255.255.0.
5 Bookmark Tools--Admin button. Old password: old password (if there is no password then leave it empty), the New password: new password: repeat Reconfirm password :new password--Apply.
6 Tab Advenced, select the Performance button. Has to be in values Wireless Mode: mixed mode, TX Rates: Auto
7 Button DHCP. DHCP server: Enabled.
8 Open the wireless network connection (click on the icon in the left-bottom
corner of the screen). Click Refresh network list and join the CC-WiFi.
2.7. Configurationof browsers for Internet access
Internet Explorer:
-Select the menu item "Tools", then "Internet Options".
-In the window select the tab "connections". In this window click "LAN settings" button.
-Tick the "use proxy server for LAN connection "and" do not use proxy server for local addresses”.
-Immediately register address: proxy.config onat .edu, port: 3128.
Configuring the Mozila Firefox
-Open the menu "Tools", then "settings".
-Select the “Advanced” tab. In this window, click the
"Configure".
-Mark with a point "configure proxy connection manually. HTTP proxy: proxy. onat .edu. ua, port: 3108. In the line " do not use proxy for”: 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.1.
