Technical improvements in duplicating and copying machines have made it cheap to obtain almost perfect reproductions.

In selecting the proper equipment from a very wide range, the suitability of the type of copy must be considered, plus cost, speed, ease of operation, ser­vicing facilities and durability.

In some organizations a reproduction department is set up, use being made of outside printers or, in some cases, an organization will have its own print­ing department.
