Interlanguage
Interlanguage
correlates
with X-ized English at a microlevel of individual usage. It is a
reduced language lacking vitality and historicity. Interlanguage is a
variety used by the foreign language learner who has incompletely
learned the language, for example English.
Foreigner Talk
Foreigner
Talk is
a simplified form of the language used to communicate with foreigners
with a minimal, if any, knowledge of the language.
On the global scale it is
easy to see that the enormous growth and spread in the use of English
led to an immense proliferation of different “Englishes” on the
one hand, but on the other hand it retains the importance and unity
of the English language.
