Vocabulary practice

Ex. 1. Translate the LAST test objectives (SUBAREA V: 21) followed by focus statements that provide examples of the range, type, and level of content that may appear on the test (for a list of test objectives, see APPENDIX B)

READING PRACTICE ITEMS

Reading practice items are designed to help you practice the reading concepts and comprehension skills presented in Reading Review. For that reason, questions may have a different emphasis than the actual test, and the actual test will certainly be more complete. There are about 8 items on the LAST that specifically measure reading comprehension. Mark your choice, then check your answers. Use the test-taking strategies. See APPENDIX C.

WRITING PRACTICE

Analyze the characteristics for the evaluation of the response to the assignment; compare them with the “Steps for Writing Passing Written Assignments”. Write a brief outline summarizing the most essential essay elements.
