Design of a Food Service System
Traditionally, the food service industry has relied upon low cost labour, often unskilled. With the rapidly rising increase in labour costs the food service industry is now embarking ' on a vigorous search for methods of sharply increasing working productivity.
A trend is now emerging 2 in food service toward separation of preparation from service and toward centralized1 mass production of food for later reconstitution and service.
The industry is becoming concentrated with longer term storage than heretofore , and with the preservation methods required to accomplish this. Canned, frozen and dehydrated products are among those which can be used,
provided that they are formulated and packed to suit the needs of hotels, restaurants.
These objectives are coordinated for minimum labour and optimum customer satisfaction, quality and cost control.
The Menu always comes first, for it determines kitchen layout and place requirements, equipment, packaging, labour and even decor 4.

Relations of Ukraine with English-speaking countries
There is no denying the fact that not so long ago Ukraine had very weak connections with other countries in the world. But at present; situation is changing for the better. As now Ukraine is a sovereign stale is establishes new relations with the countries throughout the world. Ukraine is one of the members of the United Nations Organization and participates in the work, of many international organizations. We have wide relations with Canada, the USA and Great Britain in policy, economics and culture. Foreign Embassies of these countries work in Kiev. We have some joint political projects with the United States of America and Canada. A lot of joint ventures have appeared recently in Ukraine. Such big plants of ours as Cherkasy joint stock company "Azof, Gorlovka chemical plant "Stirol", Kharkiv aircraft plant sell their products at international market. Scientific cooperation is also very important. We have joint projects for space exploration with the USA and Canada. Cooperation in culture education and sport are very important too. We exchange student s and teachers with these countries. The Ukrainian orchestras’ pop and opera singers, ballet dancers are warmly received abroad. A lot of English-speaking countries visit Ukraine every year. It's very important to mention that many people who are Ukrainian by origin live in Canada. So we have special relations with this country. Canada was the first among the western states that recognized the state independence of Ukraine. Many of the Ukrainians living now in Canada and other English-speaking countries don't lose connections with Ukraine. A lot of public organizations, educational establishments, religious organizations make considerable contribution to the development of our culture, literature and art.

The Ties of Ukraine with England
Ukraine
is a large country. It is situated in the South - Western Europe.
It's territory is 603,000 sq.kms. Ukraine is a sovereign state. It
proclaimed its independence in August of 1990.
It found its recognition among 2,5 mln Ukrainians living abroad . They left Ukraine in 3 waves: after the WWI, after the revolution and during WWII. Ukraine was a highly developed country.
But now, in the result of breaking ties between the former republics the economy of Ukraine is in a deep crises. But nevertheless, Ukraine tries to conclude new treaties and agreements with many countries. For example, in May our president Leonid Kutchma, had meetings with the delegations of Cuba, Belorussia, Russuia, with the president of the USA Bill Klinton.
Ties of Ukraine with England are old and permanent. John Major and Queen Elizabeth visited Moscow and Kyiv last year. The new treaties and agreements on cooperation, political and economical assistance have been signed. We had the opportunity to watch TV programs about the visit of these delegations. England is interested to help our country and to put their money into developing of our economy. Now they sent us humanitary help.
There are many twin - cities which develop their relations in different fields of iife . There is an exchange of delegations of teachers , students , workers , sport teams and so on . The twin cites are : Kyiv and Edinburg , Donetsk and Sheffield , Gorlovka and Barnsley .
