Travelling is an important part of modern life for millions of people all over the world. But the reasons for travelling are different for different people. Most of the travelers go in search of beauty spots and leisure. Those who want to relax usually choose resort hotels and but package tours all inclusive. Some people travel for the reasons of health, they prefer to go to resorts where they can improve their health. The most popular destinations of this kind are the Caucasus Mineral Waters, the Crimea, resorts of the Dead Sea and Carlovy Vary. For many people education and sightseeing is an attractive reason to visit other places and see the beauties or historical places. There are also people who travel for the reasons of experiencing different sports or excursions by bike, horse riding or water sports. Lots of people travel to visit their friends and relatives. Another important purpose of travelling is religion. Pilgrims visit holy places in different parts of the world. One more important reason is business. It becomes more and more international and business people have to travel a lot. On their trips they use the same transport, accommodation and catering facilities as tourists. Now I’d like to speak about one of the most popular destinations. It is Kuba. Cuba is a long island, which is located in the west part of Caribbean Sea between Florida (USA), Yucatan (Mexico), Haiti and Jamaica.

1. Climat - The climate is tropical. The maximum temperature in August is 35 C and in January + 19 C. Tropical dry season runs from November to April, rainy - from May to October. The annual average temperature of the water is 24 C. The tourist season lasts all year round. The main disadvantages arise in autumn hurricane season from October to November.

2. Getting around – To use municipal transport in Cuba is not necessary, because it is impossible to find, and the quality of service is unsatisfactory. There are a lot of taxis for tourists in Cuba. You can book taxis from any hotel.

3. Entertainment – In Cuba you can visit the night centers, famous cabarets, clubs, concert halls and theaters, popular festivals and carnivals of Santiago de Cuba and Havana. For example cabaret "Tropicana", it is excellent night center, which is located in a beautiful park. In the capital of Cuba you can find jazz clubs, many cabarets and dance centers. You can also attend the performances of classical ballet, chamber and symphonic music, theater or modern dance.

4. Sightseeng - You can visit the colonial part of Havana's Capitol, the Presidential Palace and the Museum of the Revolution Square. Palaces and buildings, squares, castles, built by the Spaniards in the 16-19 centuries. will amaze you with their beauty. In the evening you can visit the colorful show at the cabaret show "Tropicana". Tourists are invited to route three cities: Santa Clara - Trinidad - Sanfuegos is the most famous and beautiful cities of central Cuba. For active leisure is best jungle tour, is an excursion on the water scooter with a stop in a mini zoo. Cuba has to offer for tourists a lot of entertainments, for example, swimming with dolphins, sea safari, deep sea fishing, scuba diving.

5. Food - Cuban cooking traditions are mixture of Spanish, African and Creole cuisines. Pork, chicken, a variety of seafood, black beans and various spices are widely used. One of the best national dishes - "Creole ahiako" is spicy dish with pork and lots of vegetables. As for fruit, you can interested in fried pineapples and bananas in sauce and variety of fruit salads in freshly chopped coconut. Cuba is known for its rum "Havana Club", as well as cocktails based on it - "Mojito" and "Daiquiri". There is very popular cuban coffee which must to be very strong and sweet and you can drink it in large portions and at any time.
