Разыграйте с учителем следующую ситуацию. Обсудите с вашим зарубежным другом, что нужно сделать, чтобы быть успешным в жизни: иметь талант, закончить ВУЗ, успешно жениться/выйти замуж или что-то еще? Приведите не менее двух причин, почему вы так думаете. Спросите, согласен ли ваш друг с вашим мнением.

- Hello, Tom!

- Hello, Olga!

- How are you getting on?

- Fine, thanks and you?

- I’m fine, too. Soon we’ll finish school and we’ll have to think over the problem of success in life. What is necessary to be successful in life? I think first of all a person must be talented. What do you think of it?

- Certainly a talent is a good thing but you should work hard to develop your abilities. Therefore you should enter the university because it is necessary nowadays to get a higher education if you want to have a prestigious and well-paid job.

- I think you are right. A good education is very important now. However I know a lot of people who have no higher education but they earn enough money, even more than those who have a degree. Are they lucky?

- Perhaps, they are. They may have either a talent or some acquaintances, relatives or friends who help them, sometimes, all of them. But what about a happy marriage? I suppose you can get everything with help of your future wife or husband, their money, influential relatives and so on. Sometimes you won’t have to work at all. How do you like this idea?

- Sounds great but you have to be correspondent to your powerful husband or wife, be tolerant, and the worst thing is that you have to be dependent on him or her all your life. But things happen. You may get divorced or people may die. What will you do then? As for me I would like to be independent financially. And you?

- So I don’t like this idea either. I’d better try on my own too. And the first thing for us now is to get good knowledge that will enable us in future to enter the university.

- O.K. Let’s try to be successful through our hard work and won’t rely on anybody. We simply have to get up and get it ourselves.

Разыграйте с учителем следующую ситуацию. Ваш зарубежный друг часто ходит в Макдональдс. Объясните ему, что это не очень полезно для здоровья, приведите не менее двух причин. Дайте совет, как правильно питаться, чтобы быть здоровым.

- Hello, Tom!

- Hello, Olga!

- How are you getting on?

- Fine, thanks and you?

- I’m fine, too. Where are you going, I wonder?

- I am going to my favorite MacDonald’s restaurant. I enjoy their food immensely. And you? Do you like their cheeseburgers, hamburgers, hot dogs?

- I agree that their food is delicious, but I go there very seldom, only if I am pressed for time to have dinner at home or just to have a snack with some friends.

- Why? As for me I visit MacDonald’s almost every week and most of my friends do the same.

- You see they serve fast food. And it is a well known fact that though it is delicious, it is not healthy. For example I know that drinking much Coca-cola is harmful for our stomach, potatoes free are cooked using the same oil again and again. Moreover I hear you may put on weight soon, if you eat much fast food. Why not have soup, fresh vegetables and fruit, various salads, juice, porridge and fish at home? These are the examples of healthy food. You always know how it is cooked.

- Maybe you are right. I suppose I should think over my food habits and preferences again. Thank you for your advice. Good-bye.
