Разыграйте с учителем следующую ситуацию. В одном из европейских городов вы отстали от группы во время экскурсии. Вам нужно добраться до отеля, где вы остановились. Спросите у прохожего, каким транспортом туда быстрее добраться, сколько это займёт времени и где ближайшая остановка.

• Certainly!

• You see, I’m a stranger here and we are having an excursion around Paris, and the problem is that I am totally lost. I can’t see our group anywhere. I’m staying at the Apollo Opera Hotel. Could you tell me how to get there?

• Well, you can get there either by bus Number 21 or by the underground.

• Which way is faster?

• I think if you go there by bus it will be much faster.

• Thank you. And how long will it take me to get there by bus?

• I suppose it’ll take you about 30 minutes to get there.

• And will you tell me where the nearest bus-stop is?

• Oh, go along that street and it will lead you to the bus-stop.

- Yes, please. You see, I’d like to buy some new summer clothes in your shop.

- Oh, you are lucky. We have a new collection of summer clothes here. There are a lot of fine T-shirts in it. Would you like to buy one?

- Let me see… Why not? Good idea! I think I need it.

- What is your size?

- I suppose my size is 42.

- In what colour would you like it?

- I think I would like it in red.

- Well, what about this T-shirt? Here you are. Will you try it on?

- Oh, I like it very much. Does it suit me?

- It suits you fine.

- How much does it cost?

- It costs 15 euros.

- O.K. I’ll buy it. Here is the money.

- There are plenty of themes to choose from. For example, you can write about the geographical position of some country, political situation or industry. I suppose “Customs and Traditions” is also an interesting subject to dwell upon in your report. So it’s up to you to decide.

- O. K. It is recommended that you should go to the library, use your textbooks or the Internet, or find some information in encyclopedias. I can help you with some books too.
