Introduction
As the managing subject any financial institution for implementation of the authorized activity needs financial resources, that is sources of the money necessary for purchase of buildings, constructions, equipment and technologies, formations of working capital, creation of reserves, payments of a salary, contributions to the budget, etc. Similar expenses can be financed both at the expense of own means, and at the expense of loan and attracted which bulk I make different deposits of physical and legal entities or deposits.
Deposit operations initially arose in the form of a form of storages of gold coins for their best savings on mints, at changed, etc. The owner had to pay for storage a certain remuneration. And at the request of the client I changed I guaranteed safety of those coins which were given him. In such conditions they couldn't carry out loan operations with the received coins, couldn't profit from which they would began to pay to owners of money percent. Eventually from them ceased to demand return of the same coins - the sum of the placed money came back only. Periods of storage were extended also. If before when granting the credits counted only on own capital, now there was an opportunity to use borrowed funds for granting the credits, to draw interest for loans and to pay part of their sum to owners of money.
Now deposit operations took different forms and forms and are considerably differentiated over the countries. However for each financial institution there is priority a problem of involvement of investors and expansion of a deposit base as main source of credit resources.
Money, carrying out accumulation function, are transformed to deposits, which in fact no other than the saved-up savings of the population, managing subjects, etc. Deposits are understood as all deposits of clients. The sources of means placed on them, are very various. It means on accounts of corporate clients, public institutions and the enterprises, a salary of workers and employees which temporarily aren't used.
Today commercial banks provide different types of deposits. At banking practice of Kazakhstan there are their following types:
1. Deposits poste restante or check deposits grant the right to invoicing by the investor of the check which is subject to obligatory repayment. Convenience of this look is explained by safety of checks and simplicity of commission of payments by its invoicing, and also that it gives the chance to withdraw cash according to the first requirement. Check deposits demand implementation of expensive registration operations and conducting therefore the majority of banks establish a certain payment for these services. Its sizes change together with changes of the size of the deposit and number of the checks drawn within one month. However quite often banks go on refusal of collection of this payment if the investor keeps sufficient, from their point of view, the balance rest on the account during the whole month which is used by bank for the commercial purposes, for example, issue of the loan on 60, 90, 120 days and the kontokorrentny credits.
One of the main types of check deposits are deposits poste restante, having features:
• the contribution and withdrawal of money is carried out as parts, and completely, at any time and without any restrictions;
• money can be withdrawn from the account both in a cash form, and by means of checks;
• the bank establishes a commission to the owner of the account for using to them in a firm monthly rate or for each drawn check;
• on condition of maintenance by the client of in advance stipulated average size of the rest on the account the "hidden" percent in the form of refusal by bank to raise from the client the commission for account use, however, at violation by the investor of this condition is paid to the owner of the account, it pays to all operational expenses of bank connected with maintaining the account and processing of each check.
• on deposits poste restante the bank is obliged to store the minimum reserve in the central bank in a bigger proportion, than on term deposits.
Many clients of banks seek to minimize the sizes of the money containing on deposits of this kind as on deposits poste restante it isn't paid explicit (that is in obviously expressed) interest income. One of ways of minimization is use of the opportunities given by accounts with automatic cleaning. Carrying out the current operations with them, the bank "clears" the account (or translates them) from any sums of money surpassing a minimum stipulated with clients, and places them in the financial instruments which are bringing in interest income, for example, in agreements on the return repayment. Such operation is carried out by bank at the end of each business day. In the same cases when in bank checks for the payment arrive, necessary for implementation of this operation, funds are transferred back to the same contribution poste restante.
