You could send me all the documents by fax, but you didn’t do it. 5. She could succeed in her interview with the top manager, but she failed. 6. They could prepare this report carefully, but they didn’t do it. 7. Our company could win the competition, but it failed. 8. The managers could organise this meeting, but they were late. 9. You could travel by plane, but you lost the passport. 10. I could come in time, but I didn’t catch the bus.
