Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia

  1. The Harz Mountainsгоры Гарц. The Harz is the highest mountain range in northern Germany. The legendary Brocken is the highest summit in the Harz with a height of 1,141.1 metres (3,744 ft) above sea level. The Wurmberg (971 metres (3,186 ft)) is the highest peak located entirely within Lower Saxony.

Germany’s northernmost ski region, in the Harz mountains, southeast of the city of Hannover, has developed a full range of winter attractions, including downhill and cross-country skiing, winter hiking on groomed trails, skating and curling rinks and, of course, sleigh rides.

  1. WurmbergВумберг. If you love to ski or sled, you should head to the Harz Mountains second highest peak, the Wurmberg.

Bavaria

Bavaria is a region located in the southeast of Germany and is the largest state (Bundesland) of Germany by area. Its capital is Munich in Upper Bavaria.

(in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a mountain resort town in Bavaria, southern Germany) The Zugspitze plateau is both Germany's highest mountain and the only resort where guests can ski on a glacier. With more than 22 kilometers of slopes and almost 3000 meters above sea level, both the skiing and the views are spectacular! In the Alps, along the country’s southern border, the slopes of its highest peak, Zugspitze (2,962m), provide the steepest downhill run.

Schwarzwald

  1. the Black ForestБлек Форест. Шва́рцвальд (нем. Schwarzwald — «чёрный лес») — горный массив в земле Баден-Вюртемберг на юго-западе Германии.The Black Forest, where Germany’s first ski club was founded in 1895, lures downhill skiers with slopes no more than a half-hour’s drive from the city of Freiburg, and cross-country die-hards with a 100-kilometre trail.

  2. the Allgäu Alps - Альгёй. The Allgäu Alps are a mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps, located in Bavaria in Germany and Tyrol in Austria.

  3. Nebelhorn and FellhornНебельхорн и Фельхорн The Nebelhorn is a 2,224 metres (7,297 ft) high mountain in the Allgäu Alps in Germany, near the village of Oberstdorf. Fellhorn (el. 2,038 metres (6,686 ft)) is a mountain in the Allgäu Alps near Oberstdorf, Germany, on the border with Austria.

  4. Feldberg – Фельдберг. Feldberg is the highest mountain in the Black Forest and also of Germany outside the Alps; with an elevation of 1,493 metres. Freiburg im Breisgau is the closest city.

  5. Schonach and Belchen - Шонах и Бельхен. A part of the cross-country track Schonach-Belchen runs between the Feldberg and Seebuck. There is one hundred kilometer long trail between Schonach and Belchen.

If you love to ski or sled, you should head to the Harz Mountains second highest peak, the Wurmberg. Or if you want to give the Black Forest highlands a try, the Feldberg with its 50 kilometers of slopes could be the right stop for you. The Allgäu alps also make an idea destination for the whole family with more than 100 kilometers of trails to choose from. But if altitude is more your style, the Zugspitze plateau is both Germany's highest mountain and the only resort where guests can ski on a glacier. With more than 22 kilometers of slopes and almost 3000 meters above sea level, both the skiing and the views are spectacular!
