2. DEsign of the course work

3.1. The course work is written on the standard sheets of paper (A4 format) by the computer type-setting, Times New Roman print type (1.5 – space, 14 – size of type). The first page of the work is designed as a title-page (appendix 1).

The plan (contents) of the work with the page numbering is given on the second page – at the beginning of each structural element of the work.

All pages of the text must be numbered beginning from the second page (the title-page is considered the first one).

3.2. References to the literature sources and the list of the used literature are designed according to the standard given in the methodic instructions as to the technical design of the course and degree works.

3.3. Appendices (one or several) in the form of tables, diagrams, schemes etc. can be used in the work. All appendices are given after the list of literature in the end of the work.

2. Stages of the course work accomplishment

4.1. Our experience in supervision of the course works accomplishment has shown the importance of the right organization of the work process itself. A student’s ability to organize his work, and not only supervision from the teacher’s side has critical importance. Due to those reasons we would like to help students organize their independent work in the better way while preparing the course work on “Economics: bases of economic science”. As we believe, such help, first of all, is necessary for the students of the extra mural education.

4.2. What steps are necessary for a student in the process of the course work preparation?

1. To find out the purposes and requirements to the course work accomplishment.

2. To choose the theme of the course work.

3.To choose the necessary literature related to the theme of the course work and look trough it.

4. To draw up a plan of the course work.

5. Consult with a teacher on the plan of the course work (if necessary).

6. To develop the text of the course work.

7. To design and submit the course work to the department in the term fixed by the teacher.

4.3. Requirements to the course work accomplishment

A course work is a summary of the “Economics: bases of economic science” learning. According to the results of the course work accomplishment and defense a corresponding mark is given to the student.

A course work development stipulates examination of the independent learning skills of some economic phenomenon, ability to distinguish different aspects in it, to show its relations with the other phenomena in the right way. The extent of the student’s skills to use different sources of knowledge such as textbooks, special monographs, periodicals, statistic data etc. is controlled during the course work accomplishment.

Criteria of assessment of the course work are the following:

І. The right range of problems necessary to consider to elucidate the theme completely.

2. Logically right sequence of the problems set out in writing.

3. The right set out in writing of the answers to the problems, ability to draw conclusions, and generalizations.

4. The corresponding choice of the literature sources to the theme, ability to use statistic and factual information for different dependences and tendencies grounding.

5. The right design of the course work.

6. Proper time of the course work accomplishment and defense.
