1. Purpose and main tasks of the course work
1.1. Development of the course work on “Economics: bases of economic science” is one of the elements of the curriculum plan for specialists training.
1.2. Intensification of the theoretical knowledge, got in the process of the subject learning, and skills development of the practical use of the got knowledge are the purpose of the course work.
1.3. The course work writing envisages independent learning of some phenomenon, process etc, distinguishing of different aspects showing its relations with other phenomena. Requirements of the specific state standards of education are taken into consideration while developing the themes.
While writing the course work on “Economics: bases of economic science”, a student has to demonstrate his theoretical knowledge and, first of all, practical skills related to specific tasks solution in the corresponding field of activity.
1.4. As the course work on “Economics: bases of economic science” is the first one of this type for the students in the institution of higher education, then its task is to form the basic skills to make independent research which will be used to accomplish the other course works and a degree work on the final stage of accomplishment.
Amount of information and structure of the course work
2.1.General number of pages for the course work is 25 – 30 pages.
2.2.Structural elements of the course work are the following – introduction, sections and paragraphs, conclusion, list of the used literature.
The recommended number of sections (paragraphs) is 2 – 3 for each section.
In Introduction (1 – 2 pages) a student determines the actual character of the theme of the course work forms the purpose and reveals main tasks of the course work.
In the main sections of the course work different aspects of the problem, which is researched in the course work, are analyzed, factual data, and calculations, which confirm certain conclusions, are given. The author must make references to the source of the data used by him in the work.
Examination of different aspects of the problem must be logical.
In Conclusion (2 pages approximately) a student has to summarize the main results of the analysis and the contents of conclusion must correspond the purpose and main tasks of the work which were formulated in Introduction.
The list of the used literature must include those sources which were used by a student in the process of the course work accomplishment, and those sources which were referred to in the text of the work. Those sources are given in the alphabetical order or in the order of references to them in the work.
