В) Last week, the Mayor of Croftside opened a new school. The new headmistress, Mrs Anderson, gave him a tour of the new building. Mrs Anderson showed him the large sports hall which the children will use for indoor sports. Then, the reporter from the local newspaper interviewed the mayor. A photographer took some photographs of him with Mrs Anderson in front of the new school. A car arrived at the school at 3 pm and took the mayor to his next appointment.

С) A hotel is a temporary home for people who are travelling where the traveller can rest and has access to food and drink. The hotel сan provide facilities for recreation, such as a swimming pool, a golf course or a beach. They design these services to accommodate the travellers.

Travel has always related to hotels closely. In Europe and America people spaced inns and taverns along the roads at the distance a horse could travel in a day. The inns were primitive by modern standards. The traveller usually shared his bed with at least one other person, and as many as four other persons in some remote areas. The old-fashioned inns, however, provided food and shelter for both men and horses and therefore became a symbol for hospitality. That’s why many modern hotels and motels has used recently the word "inn".
