3.Oral Activity.

The teacher divides the class into two teams and starts saying adverbs which take either Past Simple or Present Perfect. The teams in turn make sentences using the adverbs. Each correct sentence gets 1 point. The team with the most points is the winner.

Teacher: just

Team A S1: I’ve just seen a cat.

Teacher: never

Team B S1: He’s never traveled by plane.

Teacher: last weak

Team A S2: I went on an excursion last weak.

Teacher: How long ago have you been in Athens?

Teacher: No! How long ago did you go to Athens?

Team B doesn’t get a point.

Exercise 4

Put in this, last, today or yesterday.

Last month prices went up, but this month they have fallen a little.
