You are the manager of a large car repair shop in the city. You’ve recently hired two women to work as mechanics. Men in this shop prefer to “men only” atmosphere and are often rude to these women. Two women have complained to you several times, but you haven’t given them much support. In fact, the women are very upset by the “Playboy” type pictures and calendars hanging in your office. You refuse to take them down. Two women complained to the lawyer of this shop and he agreed to talk to you.
Talk to the lawyer, explain him your position and try to reach an agreement.

-what colour is it?

Card 8. B
Your name is Pat and you have a four-year-old Toyota you want to sell for $3,000. It has 70,000 miles on it. It has been a very reliable car – it’s never been in an accident, and it always starts, even in cold weather. It has never needed major repairs. It is red and the exterior is in excellent condition. You are selling it because you need a bigger car. You have already seen the new car you want to buy, so you want to sell this one quickly.
Tell the caller that you are willing to discuss the price, and persuade him or her to come over and look at the car.
Card 9. A
You want to take one or more courses at a local college. Phone the adult education division and get more information about the courses they offer. Find out:
-when the course will begin.
-how long it will last.
-what days and times it is given.
-how much it costs.
What the official name of the course is.
-as much as possible about what is taught in the course.
