II курс контрольне завдання 2

Для правильного виконання контрольної роботи №2 необхідно засвоїти наступні розділи курсу:

1. Прості неособові форми дієслова:

а) Participle I (Present Participle) та Participle II (Past Participle), їх форми та функції;

б) Герундій (Gerund), його прості форми та функції в реченні.

2. Модальні дієслова та їх еквіваленти.

3. Функції дієслів to be, to have, to do.

Зразок виконання і (до вправи і)

1. The changes affecting the composition of materials are called chemical changes.

Зміни, які впливають на склад матеріалів, називаються хімічними змінами.

affecting — Participle І, означення.

2. When heated to the boiling point, water evaporates

Коли воду нагрівають до точки . кипіння, вона випаровується.

heated - Participle II, обставина.

Всі студенти повинні добре вчитися.

Можна увійти до аудиторії?

Вам слід краще працювати над. своєю англійською мовою.

Зразок виконання з (до вправи iiі)

1. The exam was to start in the morning.

Іспит мав початися уранці,

was to - модальне дієслово, частина складного дієслівного присудка.

2. Some marketing experts do not support my offer.

Деякі експерти з маркетингу не підтримують мою пропозицію.

do (not) - допоміжне дієслово в Present Indefinite (заперечна форма).

ЗРАЗОК ВИКОНАННЯ 4 (ДО ВПРАВИ IV)

1. Extra-mural training demands a lot of efforts from a student

Заочне навчання потребує багато зусиль від студента.

training - Indefinite Gerund Active, підмет.

2. She crossed the street without looking at cars

Вона перейшла вулицю, не дивлячись на машини.

(without) looking - Indefinite Gerund Active, обставина.

Вправа І. Перепишіть наступні речення, підкресліть Participle I та Participle II, визначте їх функції. Перекладіть речення на українську мову:

1. The goods produced by our company are of great demand.

2. Being very busy at that time, he didn't visit the meeting.

3. Serving as a means of exchange, money is essential in economy.

4. The firm has developed a new equipment.

Вправа II. Вставте в речення необхідне модальне дієслово, перекладіть на українську мову:

1. Every new foreign firm ... register its name and address.

2. The country ... to decrease its imports due to changes in its economy.

3. ... I take your financial documents?

4. She ... come to the conference, be ready to meet her.

5. ... I smoke in the office? - No, you ....

Вправа III. Перекладіть наступні речення, пам'ятаючи про різні значення дієслів to be, to have, to do, та визначте їх функції в реченнях:

1. The problem was to be solved by the end of the year.

2. British production grew at a slower rate than production of its capitalist rivals, and so did British export.

3. Land purchased from government had to be paid in gold and silver.

4. The firm has produced the latest equipment.

Вправа IV. Перепишіть речення з герундієм, визначте його функцію та перекладіть речення на українську мову:

1. Planning production helps to avoid income losses.

2. Labour productivity may be increased by introducing new machinery.

3. Choosing a proper decision is very important in management

4. Measures are being taken to improve storing goods.

Вправа V. Прочитайте текст. Перепишіть і письмово перекладіть на українську мову 1, 2, 3 абзаци тексту.
